    I want toassess work when students may use AI

    Look at how the work was made, not only at the final file: the drafts, what changed between them, and how the student answered questions along the way. Then ask the student to explain one choice. The mark stays yours.

  2. I want torespond when a student's work looks AI-written

    A detector score is a guess about the final text, and it can be wrong. Before you act on one, talk with the student and look at how the work was made. For the next assignment, ask for drafts and a short explanation, so you have evidence instead of a guess.

  3. I want towrite an AI-use policy for my course

    For each task, a policy answers four questions: may students use AI, what do they hand in besides the final work, how are the parts weighted, and how can a student explain or appeal. Students follow rules they can see.

  4. I want toteach students to check AI answers

    Give students one short routine for every AI answer: find the claim, check the source, test the step that matters, look for what is missing, and note what changed. Then let them practise on answers that contain a mistake on purpose.

  5. I want tokeep students thinking when AI can answer for them

    Handing work to AI is not always harmful. It becomes a problem when the AI does the part the task is meant to practise. A coach that answers with a question, not a paragraph, is designed to keep that part with the student.

  6. I want tosupport students who work in Hindi

    Let students think and draft in the language they reason in, even if the final work is in English. Assess the reasoning, not the language. Test speech input with the students who will use it before you rely on it.
